My blog post today is a book that has been added to my bookshelf that helps me learn more ways of being healthy and I wanted to share it with you guys because of how it has helped me recently walk down my new year healthy path.
We are always trying to find ways to become healthy. I have tried working out, drinking more tea, eating healthier, etc. But, what I realized after many healthy books, is that consistency is the key in being healthy. You have to be consistent in working out and eating healthy. Your food controls your energy, the way you feel, and how healthy you are. I recently became ill and I had to turn towards healthy oils and teas to get well. I couldn’t workout to sweat the illness away but whatever I ate could have made the experience worse or better. Think about when you are sick... Don’t you eat the right foods to make yourself well again? That is how your everyday meals should be. You should always eat the right foods, so that you can always be well. Fitness is super important but so is what you put inside your body.
I recently read a book where it discussed how your food can have an impact on who you are. In nine chapters, I learned that your food has a big impact on your body, there is a jumpstart plan, and there are certain foods that could help you become healthier. You Are What You Eat By Gillian McKeith is a book that everyone should have on their bookshelves. There are always so many questions and ideas I would want to know before I start getting healthy but this book managed to answer all of my questions and gave me new information.
The Plan That Will Change Your Life is the tagline of the book for a reason. Her words changed my outlook on being healthy and I am sure they will do the same for you. There is so many different foods that are delicious but also healthy. You can snack on carrots, broccoli, popcorn, almonds, or pretzels. You can have a scoop of ranch with some of them and it won’t be so harsh on your body. I was given many different ideas on what is the best thing to eat and be healthy without going bored. McKeith even gave a seven day plan to get started with.
I always need motivation to stay consistent but this book made me realize that everything takes time and that there are steps to everything. The book started off telling the reader what does calories look like depending on what you eat. Of course, we all like the food that is bad for us but what about exchanging more healthy food for less calories and better quantity? This book brought a theme of quality over quantity. You can learn a plan to being healthy, the healthy foods and what they bring to your life and a way to enjoy healthy food to the point where you will be surprised that you enjoyed unhealthy so much before. I want you guys to enjoy being healthy and learn fun ways to do it. Gillian McKeith, thank you for the fun side of being healthy and I think all of you will enjoy her words too!
